Last week was a busy week for Gifted
Support.
We traveled to the Maker Space at
Schuylkill Intermediate Unit 29. This is
a new area for STEM exploration. We made
two trips. Sixth grade on Monday, and
Third, Fourth, and Fifth on Tuesday. It
was amazing. The students worked with
Makey Makey and Leopoly.
Our K’Nex challenge team competed at
Intermediate Unit 29 in Pottsville on Thursday, March 23. The challenge was to create a ride using
K’Nex for an environmentally friendly new amusement park. Joey, Trinity,
Lorelai, and Melissa did an amazing job and came home with 2nd place
medals. It was a great experience!
PSSA testing begins next week so we will
be doing some relaxing activities in Gifted Support to help relieve
stress. I also have some spring related
STEM activities planned.
