The next round of PSSA testing will be
held this week. Students will take the
Math portion on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. I know they will do a great job!!!
We conducted a STEM experiment last week
– building rafts to keep marshmallow peeps safe and dry. The students had a lot of fun and came up
with some ingenious designs!
Another trip to the Schuylkill
Intermediate Unit Maker Space is in the works.
We had a blast on our first visit exploring 3D printing with Leopoly and
the zSpace, and using Makey Makey to turn everyday objects (like bananas and
marshmallows) into the controllers for playing games and music.
The next Gifted Parent Advisory
Committee meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 16th. We are planning to have students showcase
some of the projects and activities they worked on this year including our
K’Nex theme park attractions. Save the
date! I am hoping to see many of you and
your students at the meeting. It should
be a great way to show parents exactly what we’re doing, wrap up the year, and
set our sights on next year!
