Month of April 2018

K’Nex - The K'Nex STEM Design Challenge was held at the Schuylkill Intermediate Unit on March 28th.  I would like to recognize the NSE team (K'Nex Generation Engineers) that completed against other 4-5 grade teams from our area.  The team was proud to take home second place, but even prouder to be recognized by the votes of the other students with the Student Choice Award.

High School Field Trip - The high school field trip is set for Tuesday, April 3rd.  We will be walking to and from the high school for our day of exploring the interesting opportunities the high school has to offer.  This is also spring picture day.  Students will still have their pictures taken in the morning before we leave.  We will be attending various classes, eating lunch, and checking out the library (possibly checking out some books).

Endangered Animal Project - Students are still working on their endangered animal projects (posters, powerpoint presentations, lesson plans, etc.) to present the information gathered to students in grades K through 2.  Hopefully we will be getting into classrooms following the PSSAs in either late April or early May.

Science Fair - Fifth grade students participating in the Science fair will be bringing in their projects on April 25.  The Science fair will be held on April 24th and 25th for sixth grade students.  Sixth graders will be given their date by Mr. Hysock.

As always, please contact me with any questions or concerns.
